About

The Fountain Inn Community Police Fund is an independent, non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to fostering public safety through community building, education, and outreach.

While the city budget provides the necessary resources to fund the operations of the Fountain Inn Police Department, a number of important community programs have been threatened or cut due to lack of funding. The foundation was created as a catalyst in responding to this threat so that no innovative program would be left behind.

Honored to serve our community and law enforcement

Our Mission

The mission of the Fountain Inn Community Police Fund is to promote a partnership between the Fountain Inn Police Department and the community that will solicit and disburse funds to assist the department in providing for community safety, security, and wellbeing.

Our Mission

Our Vision

The Fountain Inn Community Police Fund is a broad-based community non-profit that raises public awareness and money to support the needs of the Fountain Inn Police Department.

Through our endowment, fundraising events, public relations, corporate sponsors, and board expertise, we recruit passionate volunteers and ensure a sustainable financial model. As a result, we help the FIPD increase officer safety, reduce crime, and generate better community relations.

MEET THE TEAM

Mauri Aven

Mauri works in Fountain Inn at AVX Corporation as deputy general counsel. Mauri moved to the area in 2016 from Pittsburgh, PA and was part of the 2019 class of leadership golden strip, which raised $125,000 to build the splash pad on main street in Fountain Inn. Ms. Aven and her kids Andrew (11) and Maddie (15) are happy to call the Upstate their home and look forward to continue to learn about and support the community.

Michelle Amrien

I graduated from The University of South Carolina with a B.S. degree in Special Education. After teaching for several years in the upstate, I decided to pursue my lifelong dream of owning my own restaurant.  In 2010, I left teaching to open Sweet Catherine's Cafe in downtown Fountain Inn. I love the community of Fountain Inn and am so glad that I chose to have my business located here!  I live in Simpsonville with my husband James. We have five grown children and twelve grandchildren.

Adam Haymond

As a homeowner and Realtor in Fountain Inn, I take pride in being apart of this community. My wife, Ally, and I have loved living in this town as we watch it grow. We are proud to support the Community Police Fund, our local business owners and Fountain Inn as a whole. I am a proud member of the Fountain Inn Rotary Club, a member of the Fountain Inn Chamber of Commerce and member and volunteer at Hope Church. As for our home, we will serve the Lord, pull for the Clemson Tigers and, hopefully, give more than we take as we serve our flourishing community.

Gabe Jenkins

My family and I have lived in the Greenville area for over 15 years, with the majority of the time spent in Simpsonville and the last two and a half years in Fountain Inn.  We purchased a historic home in downtown Fountain Inn and absolutely love the small-town charm and already feel strongly connected to the city.  We enjoy our friendly neighbors, the variety of downtown restaurants and businesses, the farmers market, and the different festivals and events throughout the year.  In addition to being a member of this advisory committee, I participate in Fountain Inn Historical Society events and am a member of the Chamber of Commerce.

Richard Matthews

I’m originally from Columbia, SC, but have lived in the upstate for 8 years now.  I run a financial firm with locations in downtown Fountain Inn, SC, and Greenville, SC.  I invest in our town because it’s a wonderful place to live, work, and play.  My wife and I want to raise our 1- year old daughter in Fountain Inn because we love the community, location, and values that keep our town “small.”  As Fountain Inn grows, however, it’s a mission of mine to make sure that our Police Department is equipped to keep our community protected and secure.  I have numerous friends in law enforcement, and want our heroes in blue to feel the appreciation and support from the community they serve!

Kyle McMackin

With 18 years’ experience, Kyle’s formed a unique concierge agency that provides assistance for every stage in life. He prides himself with an “open door” policy and family-like clientele.  Kyle, his wife Margo and son Carson are extremely excited to be building a new home in Fountain Inn and look forward to the towns continued growth.   As a business owner and resident of Fountain Inn, Kyle would like to encourage the retention of quality police officers so they can be a part of our community for years to come. Kyle and his family love this community and envision a safe and prosperous community desired by all.
